Youth Photography and Messaging

LifeSource is partnering with Images for Life at Al Rowwad Cultural Center in Aida Refugee Camp to support the youth in their photography classes and film classes to produce their own media and develop their own messages about the water situation and the Occupation.  The following are some photos taken on a field trip we arranged with Images for Life and the Palestinian Hydrology Group for the youth to witness and document the water situation in the South Hebron Hills, the region the hardest hit by water shortages due to Israeli policies preventing the development of water infrastructure, including local water taps.  As a result of this trip the youth will have more perspective on representing their own situations this summer, when their water will be turned off due to increased Palestinian dependence on purchasing water from the Israeli state water company Mekorot.

Such as the snake wrapped around its prey.

"The hope is in staying on our land"

The lives of the inhabitants of this house have been changed. The adjacent apartheid wall isolates them from their neighbors and family.

Even if the wall killed the life in this house, this green grass will give it the hope to survive.
